Q. i'VE NEVER BEEN TO A CHURCH BEFORE. cAN i come to Christ Church?
A. Oh my Yes! Visitors are high priority to us! Christ Church is a space where everyone is welcome. If it's your first time at with us, we'll be sure to offer you a great cup of coffee and a warm hello.
Q. DO YOU NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR YOUR OUTREACHES?
A. Not really. However, if your idea of volunteering is simply joining us downtown and getting to know and love our street friends, then yes! We serve food, distribute clothes, do anything we can, but our highest priority downtown is loving relationships with those that everyone else seems to ignore… we are always in need of those kind of volunteers.
Q. How do you share the Gospel with downtown ottawa?
A. At Christ Church, the Holy Spirit’s enabling us to do the impossible! None of us are experts, but when we read passages like 1 Corinthians 1:26-30 (look it up) we believe we are called to be the light of Christ downtown. God’s love makes us recognize the dignity in all we encounter. If you want to join us in sharing that kind of power and love, we want to talk to you!
Q. DO I HAVE TO JOIN YOUR CHURCH TO GET INVOLVED?
A. No not at all… However if you love Jesus, love people, and think that humility is a wonderful thing… you’ll probably love hanging out with us.
Q. I’D LIKE TO DONATE TO CHRIST CHURCH, HOW DO I DO THAT?
A. Yes, we are a fully registered charity and you can me receipted for any donations. You can e-transfer at info@christchurchottawa.com or push the “donate” button at the top of our home page.
